Events in and around Dardanup

As the weather shifts and temperatures rise, the Dardanup region becomes an excellent spot for families and tourists to plan seasonal fun activities. From farm visits to cultural events, the region has much to offer for everyone. Let's dive into the exciting events happening in and around Dardanup.

Spring Fun:
When the weather starts to warm up, the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors is by attending events like the annual Dardanup Bull and Barrel Festival. This event is typically held in October and is an excellent way to experience local food and drinks, music, and watch the bull ride! This event is perfect for people of all ages, and children can also enjoy activities like face painting, balloon twisting, and free rides on the Dardanup Train Express.

Summer Fun:
With the temperature soaring high, what's better than spending a day at the beach? The region is home to fantastic beaches like Bunbury and Busselton, where you can swim, surf, and soak in the sun. If you're looking for something cooler, drive down to the Dardanup Lavender Farm and pick freshly grown summer blooms and take a stroll amidst the lavender gardens. At night, head down to the Bunbury Local Night Market and enjoy gourmet street food, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

Autumn Fun:
As the season changes, the region begins to calm down and provide opportunities to explore the lush nature it has to offer. Visit the Wellington Dam Wall, located towards the eastern outskirts of the region, and enjoy scenic views of the dam, the popular recreational area for picnics and watersports. You can also hire a canoe or kayak and paddle the calm waters. Additionally, you can visit the Gnomesville, the quaint gnome village, located in a natural bush setting. Take a walk around and see if you can find your favorite gnome amongst thousands.

Winter Fun:
As the temperatures drop, the region turns into an exciting winter wonderland. Experience the true Australian farming lifestyle by visiting Crooked Brook Forrest or Greenbushes Discovery Centre. At Crooked Brook Forrest, you'll get to feed farm animals like cows, sheep, and horses, take a tractor tour, and enjoy the rustic country vibe. Greenbushes Discovery Centre tells you about the history of the region in mining and forestry through hands-on exhibits and interpretive displays.

the Dardanup region is an excellent place for all seasons, and there's always something to do and see.
